The Ghyll Manor Hotel & Restaurant, Rusper Rusper is a village in the Horsham District of West Sussex. It lies 4.1 miles north of the town of Horsham and 4.2 miles west of Crawley. Rusper is the centre of Rusper Parish which covers most of the northern area between Horsham and Crawley. Rusper is governed by the Horsham District Council based in Horsham. Its population is estimated at around 1,700 people. It has a range of local services (mainly located on the High Sreet) such as a village shop & post office, a residential care home, a park, a church, a recreational sports area consisting of a Football pitch and two Tennis courts (one with basketball hoops), a hotel, two pubs The Plough and The Star, a village hall, and Rusper Primary School, built in 1872. A Benedictine priory was established in the parish c.1200. Pictured above is the Stunning 'St. Mary Magdelenes' Church, The Plough Public House, The Star (A 15th C. Pub), The award winning Rusper Golf Course, The May Day Village Day, The popular Rusper Race Way at Chaffolds Farm and finally the Ghyll Manor. The village and Parish of Rusper are a wonderful places to visit and for the walkers amongst you, there are some excellent public foot paths to be explored. The village store is open until 1pm on Sunday, for any last minute items. If, like Christina and I, you fancy a refreshing drink after the bootsale, try the local, friendly pubs in the village.
