Car Boot Sale - Report 5th September 
Rusper Car Boot Sale June 18th 2010 (View from the middle of the Stall Holders field) THANK YOU! We would like to say thank you to all the buyers who kindly cooperated with the temporary traffic management through the motocross event into our second field. Our marshals counted 280 cars using the overflow parking area and all parking in this area was done without incident despite a lack of cooperation from motorcross organisers. The morning started with an unforecasted burst of rain that we thought might stop play. However, those who come to our event are made of sterner stuff and by 12pm we had filled our first stall holders area and had to open the second area. The second round of rain came at around 2pm and I was impressed to see our stall holders just chatting and laughing and totally ignoring it! We were rewarded with a bit of blue sky and some decent sunshine, our last stall holders packing up at around 4pm. The only incident was a report that some foolish person had left their car keys hanging out the door of their vehicle. I walked around until I found the reported vehicle and humbly realised it was mine! (Doh!)
CHARITY We were pleased to have a good assortment of charity stall holders with us today. We do ask that charities contacts in advance to take advantage of our prebooked discounts and free pitch scheme. - STALL HOLDERS RAFFLE We had a £20 cash prize on todays holders raffle - the winning ticket was claimed - No. 75 - THANK YOU AGAIN! It was great to see so many first time sellers coming to our event for their first boot sale experience! It was also a real pleasure to see some old faces returning to our event for another season. All in all a really enjoyable and fun afternoon with no problems reported or items lost or found.
